Watertown Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to the public indexes, rolls, and historical collections that can relate to people who live or once lived in Watertown, Massachusetts. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with a public office, court, library, or records custodian.
2. Rules for Using This Site
Use this service only in a lawful way. You may not use it, or anything found through it, to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make decisions regulated by the FCRA, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions

3. Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither site content nor a result from a linked search tool is a consumer report. 4. Links to Outside Sites
Government portals, sponsored search tools, and other linked services set their own policies and terms. We do not control their content, pricing, availability, or data practices.

The service is offered "as is" and "as available," without warranties. We do not promise that site information is complete, current, or accurate, or that a linked portal will operate or return correct results.
6. Limits on Our Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this service or a linked source, including decisions made from records found through it.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the service operators harmless from claims or demands, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from misuse of the service or a violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
Original site text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking and brief attributed quotations are welcome. Republishing whole pages or systematically copying site content is not permitted.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continued use after the revision constitutes acceptance.
10. Cutting Off Access
We may restrict or block access, without notice, for a user who violates these terms or misuses the service.
11. Governing Law
Massachusetts law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Watertown public-record requests are subject to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c. 66, §10, and its exemptions in M.G.L. c. 4, §7(26).
12. Severability
If any term is unenforceable, the remaining terms remain in effect.
